Getting started
How do I book a service?
Open any listing, tap Book now (instant) or Request a quote (custom work), choose a date/time or describe your needs, then pay securely with LankaQR.
Do I need an account?
You can browse freely. To book, post an ad, chat or leave a review you'll need a free account — sign up with your email or continue with Google.
What's the difference between a seller and customer account?
Everyone can buy. If you also want to sell, pick "I'm a provider" at sign-up, or hit Start selling in your dashboard anytime. Your dashboard adapts to show the tools you need.
Payments
How do I pay?
We use LankaQR — scan the QR at checkout with any Sri Lankan bank app (BOC, Peoples, Commercial, Sampath, HNB and more). Card payments via DirectPay are also supported.
Is there a fee?
A small 5% service fee is added at checkout to keep Flashbook running and to fund the Flashbook Guarantee. Listing is always free for sellers.
Can overseas customers pay?
Yes — gifts show pricing in both LKR and USD, and delivery times are shown in Sri Lanka local time so you can send to loved ones back home.
Bookings & delivery
When do I see the provider's contact details?
For your safety, phone numbers stay hidden until a booking is confirmed and paid. Until then, chat with them in-app.
How does same-day gift delivery work?
Physical gifts are delivered by PickMe Flash. Once you pay, a driver is assigned automatically and you and the recipient get a live tracking link.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, from the booking page. If a provider repeatedly cancels, their ranking is automatically reduced to protect customers.
Reviews & disputes
How are reviews kept honest?
Only customers who completed a paid booking can review — no fake or self-submitted reviews.
Something went wrong. What do I do?
Open your booking and Raise a dispute. The Flashbook team will step in and mediate under the Flashbook Guarantee.
